Offsprout 2.15 Release

I’ve got some new exciting things to share that just came out for Offsprout.

Offsprout 2.15, and it’s sister releases, Offsprout Pro 1.5 and Offsprout Theme 1.4.3, focus on improving Offsprout’s ability to display custom posts types, taxonomies, and meta.

While you can view all of the changes in our changelog, I wanted to spend a minute or two showing you around.

Display posts in the Posts Module with your own custom HTML.

Previously, the Posts Module was limited to the design options presented in it. Now, however, you can provide your own custom HTML template, and even include custom meta and custom taxonomy merge tags.

Here is an example of swapping the {{ocb_date}} merge tag with the {{ocb_author}} merge tag.

You can extend the display further by adding custom meta keys or custom taxonomies for regular posts or even for custom post types.

This new feature gives you the flexibility to display your posts, custom posts, meta values, and custom taxonomies however you want.
